Within the Customer Buying Profile & Buying Template programs, the system now has the ability to Suppress statistical transaction data. This will allow a site for example, when a Product is out of stock, to sell a Product as a one-off substitution solution to a Customer but then suppress the sale data against that Product for that Customer.
Users can access the Customer Buying Profile screen from within Customer Maintenance > Pricing and Disc button > Buying Profile and command F5 within Invoicing. The Buying template for the Customer can also be loaded from within the Invoice using the F6 command.
In the image below, the Customer Buying Profile shows there is a new column of tick boxes assigned to each product line. When ticked, the system ‘suppresses’ (blanks out) the data in the following fields:
- Total YTD
- Total L/Y
- Date
- Qty
- Price
- Promo
- Disc
Within the Product Index Search Screen when using a specified Customer, if the product has this tick box selected and columns configured, as shown in the image below, the following fields will have the data suppressed:
- Last Invoice Date
- Last Invoice Number
- Last Invoice Price
- Last Invoice Qty
Within the Buying Template of the Invoicing System, when the product has this tick box selected and dependant on columns configured, as shown in the images below, the following fields will have the data suppressed:
- Standard view
- Last Invoice Date
- Last Invoice Number
- Last Invoice Price
- Last Invoice Qty
- Weekly Dissection view
- Last Invoice $
- Wk 1 – 7
Whilst data is suppressed for a Customer/Product combination, it can still be sold to the same or other Customer/s. When suppressed it will no longer show on the Customers Sales History within SalesTALK and will be excluded in the creation of Customer Order forms when ‘Based On’ is set to ‘Sales History’ .
