Stocktake Adjustment Important Update

A new Stock Movement Transaction Type has been introduced called “Stocktake Adjustment” and will be used to more precisely identify a stocktake related stock movement record. This replaces the historic method of flagging the movement with a Transaction Type of “Stock Adjustment” and a Transaction Source of “Stocktake”.

For reporting purposes, the new Transaction Type “Stocktake Adjustment” has a value of 3. It is recommended you review any existing reports you have created that qualify Stock Movements based on the old method and adjust accordingly.

A stocktake related stock movement record can be generated in the following programs:

  • Stocktake System: this will create a record whose type is “Stocktake Adjustment” (value of 3) with a Transaction Source of “Stocktake” (value of 4).
  • Stock Adjustments: this is only for sites that are configured to treat the adjustments from this program as “Stocktake Adjustments”. The record created will have Type set to “Stocktake Adjustment” (value of 3) and a Transaction Source of “Stock Adjustment” (value of 3).
