label printers in ACR can be configured to create either despatch labels or goods/bin labels. Some times it is necessary to reset the printer or to recalibrate it. Below is a step by step guide to the most common functions required to be performed on label printers.

  • If your printer needs to be reset it can be done by:
  • Turn off the power switch at the back of the Printer.
  • Press and hold down both the pause and feed buttons together.
  • While holding both buttons turn the printer back on.
  • Continue to hold both buttons until both the “PWR” and “On Line” lights flash and the printer beeps.
  • Release both buttons.
  • Wait until both the “PWR” and “On Line” lights stay lit.
  • Run the Calibrate Printer processes.

Calibrate Printer

  • Recalibrating your label printer may be required if the label information does not print correctly on your labels, if the labels are not correctly alighned, or if you have put a new roll of labels in the printer. To run a calibration on your printer you will need to:
  • Turn off the power switch at the back of the printers.
  • Press and hold down the pause button.
  • While holding the pause button turn the printer back on.
  • Continue to hold the pause button until the printer starts to feeds a label.

Change label Size

If changing the size of the labels used (I.E from goods labels “70 mm wide” to despatch labels “110 mm wide”)in the printer the operator will need to run the reset printer and then the recalibrate printer operations

Replace Printer
If a printer is being replaced the print server can be removed from the old printer and plugged directly into the new printer. A reset and recalibrate may be needed if the printer is not already setup with labels.
