In extension to our recent User Defined field upgrades, within Supplier Maintenance we have now increased the number of User Defined fields from the existing 2 to a total of 20. Due to this upgrade, the existing and new fields have moved and are now located within the Supplier Maintenance User Defined tab. We have also increased the character limits, allowing sites to extend their alpha numeric and numeric descriptions comprehensively.
The Configuration of a User Defined Field can be achieved within Misc Configurations under the ‘User Defined Field Label’ button, users can specify which number and field name they would like to use. Note: Whilst Labels can be modified, the ‘(UD#)’ will always remain.
Listed below are the field character parameters:
- User Defined Field 1 has 30 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 2 has 30 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 3 has 30 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 4 has 30 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 5 has 30 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 6 has 30 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 7 has 60 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 8 has 60 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 9 has 60 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 10 has 60 alpha numeric characters
- User Defined Field 11 has 6 numeric characters
- User Defined Field 12 has 6 numeric characters
- User Defined Field 13 has 6 numeric characters
- User Defined Field 14 has 6 numeric characters
- User Defined Field 15 has 6 numeric characters
- User Defined Field 16 has 6 numeric characters
- User Defined Field 17 has 9 numeric characters with 2 decimal places
- User Defined Field 18 has 9 numeric characters with 2 decimal places
- User Defined Field 19 has 9 numeric characters with 2 decimal places
- User Defined Field 20 has 9 numeric characters with 2 decimal places
Report Generator
In support of this change, within our Report Generator program, the Supplier table has also been upgraded to reflect the revised field names and new User Defined fields.
- Revised field name from ‘User Defined 1’ to ‘User Defined Field 1’
- Revised field name from ‘User Defined 2’ to ‘User Defined Field 2’
In light of this, sites with existing reports using these 2 existing fields, will need those reports revised and updated with the correct field name/s.
