Whether setting up a new computer or reinstalling ACR on an existing computer the following steps can be used to get your staff back using ACR in short order.
- Open the Start Menu and click in the search bar
- Type \\ACRSERVER\Install or \\Site Code\install (replace site code with your ACR site code).
- This will open the install Folder.
- Double click the ACR_Install icon to run the installation.
- Click Next or OK to all pop up messages.
- The installer status bar may stay on 98% for a period of time this is normal
- A message will display saying the “ACR program has been successfully installed.”
- You can close the installer program.
Congratulation you have successfully installed ACR and an Icon will not be on your desktop.
If you get a message display asking you to select Run after double clicking the ACR icon the following steps will stop this message displaying.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Select Tools (this is an icon of a gear in the top right corner, pressing the “Alt” key and the “X” key together will open this menu).
- Select “Internet Options” from the menu.
- Click the “Security Tab” at the top of the window.
- Click the “Local Intranets” icon.
- Select the “Sites” button.
- Select the “Advanced” button.
- Type the following in to the add this website to the zone box, \\acrserver , Then Press Add
- Then type \\Site code (Replace “site code” with your ACR site code). Then press Add.
- Select OK or Save to all windows and Close Internet Explorer.
Note: If the computer you are installing ACR on is replacing an existing computer make sure the new computer has exactly the same computer name as the computer it is replacing. This will maintain port setting and configurations.
