ACR Install Instructions – ACR Business Systems

Whether setting up a new computer or reinstalling ACR on an existing computer the following steps can be used to get your staff back to using ACR in short order. Please note that you may have to disable any anti-virus while performing the installation.

Press the Windows Key + “R” on the keyboard

Type \\acrserver\install into the box that comes up

This will open the Install Folder.
Double click the ACR_Install icon to run the installation.

Press Next on the first screen

Make sure the following details are correct:

ACR Server Name: acrserver

Company Number: Usually 1 (contact ACR if unsure)

Shortcut Name: Whatever you would like the shortcut on the desktop to be called

Press “Next” and leave the desktop icon checked:

Press “Next” and confirm details:

Press “Install” to start copying the ACR program from the server. Note that it will stay at 99% for some time, this is normal:

You may receive a window about a second installation of “.NET Visual Runtime” or similar, this is also normal and you should allow it to install itself.

After this, a window will pop up with “ACR Install Successful”

Close this by hitting OK and the Wizard will finish:

Congratulations, you have successfully installed ACR and an Icon will now be on your desktop.
