Stocktakes Season Approching

With the end of financial year quickly approaching it is the time of year that a lot of companies will start looking to check that their stock levels within ACR are correct. Taking the time to familiarise yourself with the Stocktake system before you start using it will allow you to develop a plan on how you wish to tackle what can sometimes seem a daunting task.

Stocktakes can be performed in a large number of ways depending on if you wish to complete your whole store at once or over a number of sessions (which could be on different days). You can also Qualify a single large stocktake to count your whole product file in a single go or activate a number of smaller stocktakes that may make it easier to enter the data and manage.

Below are some tips we find can be helpful when completing Stocktakes.

  • Before you start check what Stocktakes are already active and delete them if they are no longer needed.
  • Use the Reference field as a stocktake title when activating more than 1 stocktake at a time.
  • You can have as many Stocktakes active as you require.
  • Each active Stocktake generates it own Count sheet, and Variance report as well as being Completed separately to all other Stocktakes.
  • Stocktakes can be qualified by any combination of the following
    • Stock Area
    • Product Group
    • Supplier
    • Stock Location
  • If you have Wireless RF warehouse gun’s they can be used to complete a Stocktake.
    • Each Stocktake can only be active on a single RF Warehouse gun.
    • Each RF Warehouse gun can be used to complete a different Stocktake.
    • RF Warehouse gun’s automatically update the Stocktake in Stocktake Maintenance but still require the Update SOH button to be pressed to complete the Stocktake.
  • Stocktake List’s can be setup to either print the current SOH or leave a blank space as required.
  • SOH can be setup to be calculated using the current Stock on Hand or Free Stock.
