eDocs Document Types Overlay

A new menu item has been added called ‘eDocs Document Types Overlay’ This new screen will allow sites to create and Overlay their own image over the top of their existing eDoc image.

Document Type – Version
Use this drop down to select the image type that an overlay will be used for. If there are multiple image types available, each type will have its own Overlay. No changes will be saved unless the Save button is selected.

Add Overlay
Select this button to add an Overlay to the selected Document Type.

Remove Overlay
This will remove an existing Overlay from a Document Type.

Test Colour
Selecting this will print a colour version of your edocument including the Overlay. This can be used to test that the overlay is placed correctly on the document.

Test Black/White
Selecting this will print a black and white version of your edocument including the Overlay. This can be used to test that the overlay is placed correctly on the document.

Specify Image
Use this to specify if you are going to have a different Overlay image for black & white documents and colour documents or a single Overlay that will be used on both documents.

  • Image – When one image for both documents is selected a single set of options will show.
  • Colour Image & Black/White Image – When two images are selected two sets of option will show. One for the colour Overlay and one for the black & white Overlay.

The options are:

  • Overlay Name – This will display the filename and extension of the Overlay.
  • Upload – Select this to up open the file selection window to locate the Overlay to use.
  • Test – This will display a test document that will show the Overlay only, the document itself will not show. This will allow for testing that the correct image, position and scale have been selected.
  • Clear – Remove the Overlay currently selected.

X & Y Position
Set the position on the image that the overlay will be placed. The values that are entered are in millimeters. The 0, 0 position (if both were left blank) is in the bottom left corner of the eDoc template.

  • X Position – This value will move the image toward the right side of the eDocument template.
  • Y Position – This value will move the image towards the top of the eDocument template.

Scale

This will scale the image that has been selected as the Overlay. Entering the number 1 here will use the image at its original size which is considered a 1:1 scale. This field will only accept positive number. To reduce the size use a decimal value less than 1. To increase the size use a value greater than 1.

File Requirements
The image file that is used can not be greater than 100KB in size. And must be one of the following file types:

.PNG
.JPG
.GIF
