Users are now able to attach Debtors, Short Term Debtors and VIP Customers to Quotes, Held Sales and Yard Orders. Once the sale type has been selected (e.g. ‘Quote’) a new field called ‘Customer’ has been added to this screen where the user can either ‘?’ or ‘/’ search for the customer or enter the customer number if known and the system will automatically add the customer name and address from their file. This is an optional field and can be left blank.
This will also enable users to Fax/Email Quotes via eDocs, search for Quotes, Held Sales and Yard Orders by customer in Point of Sale Maintenance. Users will not be required to re-enter the customer details when redrawing into Point of Sale if the sale is completed as either an Account Charge or COD sale. When redrawing a Quote, Held Sale or Yard Order into Point of Sale the index screen will now display the customer account name and number.
To enable Customer Quotes and Yard Orders to be Faxed/Emailed via eDocs, navigate to ‘eDocs Document Type’ and select the document type from the dropdown and enter the required details on the bottom half of this screen. Please note the ‘Email Attachment’ must be .pdf as per below example.
Once the eDocs type is set up, users will need to add this to the B2B > eDocuments section in the Customer file.
