New capabilities have recently been added into the ACR system to further assist you and your staff in the process of generating statements for your customers and recovering debt. Specifically, this new capability allows you to generate statements for your customers with targeted messages that are relative to how overdue (or not) their account is.
The targeted messages can be set (and written) as you feel appropriate for your business, allowing you to cover the range of requests for payment varying from a standard formal request, to a firm follow-up reminder and of course a demand for payment.
From an operational perspective within the ACR system, this level of sophistication can be implemented using the Statement Message Maintenance or Statement eDoc Message Maintenance tools to apply specific messages based on amounts in the 4 accounting periods and additionally what day of a 30 day debtor period to apply the message.
The Statement Message Maintenance screens appears as below, where you can not only define messages as described above for different days within an accounting period, but you also qualify types of customer for whom the message applies. This can range from all customers, a specific customer class, price/promo group or even a specific customer.
By implementing a variety of messages to cover the scenarios applicable to your business, this empowers you to run debtor statements not only at the start of the month, but also at subsequent times during the month, with the piece of mind that your customers are receiving exactly the type of follow up for payment, that you feel is appropriate.
