Carrier System

Multiple updates have been released for the Carrier system within ACR. Information regarding this update and how it affects different parts of the ACR system are detailed as follows.

Carrier Maintenance

The Carrier Maintenance window has been modified to include the following new fields:

  • A “No Insurance” check box within the “Insurance” section
  • A “Dangerous Goods” check box
  • The “Pickup and Cutoff Times” section has been added with 3 fields for Pickup Time (1,2,3) and 3 fields for Cutoff Time (1,2,3). These fields only allow 00:00 time format.

If the “No Insurance” check box is set to TRUE (the box is ticked), Insurance will not be charged within the Invoicing System.

NOTE: The “No Dangerous Goods” check box and the “Pickup and Cutoff Times” section have been added for future use.

Customer Maintenance (Balances)

Within Customer maintenance, within the Balances button, there is an existing check box called “Auto Charge Insurance” that can automatically calculate Insurance charges and apply them within the Invoice system.


If “Auto Charge Insurance” is set to TRUE (the box is ticked) – The system will automatically calculate insurance and apply within an Invoice / Mail Order / etc, with “Insurance” having a colour of blue, meaning you are able to edit the amount for Insurance. If the “Insurance” amount has been edited, the colour of “Insurance” will be black.

If “Auto Charge Insurance” is set to FALSE (the box is unticked) – Within Invoice / Mail Order / etc “Insurance” will appear as black and able to be edited.

If you have manually entered an insurance amount or if the system has automatically calculated the insurance amount and you decide to change or update to a different Carrier that has “No Insurance” set to TRUE (the box is ticked), you will receive the following message:

If you select YES, the Insurance amount will be changed to $0. The Carrier will be set as the updated Carrier.

If you select NO, the Insurance amount will not be changed. The Carrier will be set as the updated Carrier.

Report Generator

An update has been released for Report Generator.

Report Generator will now include the following fields within the Customer field selection list:

  • No Insurance
  • No Dangerous Goods
