An update has been released for Activate Stocktake – Create Manual Stocktake.
When loading a stocktake from a ‘File on local PC’, the system will now also support a file that has Product and Qty as the first two columns. The file can be either tab delimited or a .csv file (csv – Comma Separated Values). The heading line is not mandatory so you can start with a valid product ID and its qty, separated by a tab or a comma. This can be also created as an ordinary text (.txt) file.
Once you push OK, the Stocktake will be loaded into Stocktake Maintenance and assigned an ID.
Note: These files must NOT have the control line of #ACR in it.
Note: If a heading line exists, and the column PRDID exists, then the system will look for a column of QTY as well. In this case, the two columns can be anywhere on the file (not locked in as the first two), and all other columns will be ignored.
The below examples will also be imported correctly. PRDID and QTY are in the first line which is seen as the heading line, so the system will import the columns below those headings.
The below examples will NOT be imported correctly. The first line is seen as a heading line and because both PRDID nor QTY are in that line, the system will not import either of these files correctly.
