The loyalty system has been revamped to give sites the choice between having customers redeem their loyalty points by Voucher redemption (existing) or Point redemption (deducted from the invoice total).
When set to ‘Point redemption’, loyalty voucher printing will no longer be accessible.
Once a customer is selected, points are able to be redeemed by-
- Options > Loyalty Points Redemption
- Semicolon command ;PR
This will bring up the Points redemption Entry screen:
This screen will display a snapshot of the Points total, Unprinted Points, Available points and available value. Users can then tick ‘Full Invoice’ if the entire sale is to be paid with points OR can key in the dollar value in ‘the ‘Redeem value’ field.After pressing OK the points redemption value will show in red at the top of the POS/Invoice entry screen.The total sale will be reduced by the points redemption value.
Once the Invoice has been printed a ‘Redemption’ transaction type is created in ‘Loyalty Enquiry’ . This will automatically allocate with the other records. The ‘Redemption’ transaction will be treated as a deduction from the total sale opposed to a payment method as the vouchers are. The accounting journal entries that will occur based on this new ‘Point redemption’ mode have not changed from the existing entries made when in ‘Voucher redemption’ mode.
A new ‘Print Loyalty Points’ drop down box has been added to Customer Maintenance > Pricing and Discounts to determine if points will be printed on the tax invoice or not. The options are-
- Default (the customer will follow the existing global configuration as to decide if points will print or not)
- No (Loyalty Points will not print regardless of what global configuration is set)
- Yes (Loyalty points will print regardless of what global configuration is set)
In addition, Report Generator has been modified to include the following:
- Total Loyalty Points (Points accumulated for the Sale)-Stock Movement table
- Total Points redeemed (Points redeemed)-Stock Movement table
- Total Sale points redemption (Points redeemed dollar value)-Stock Movement table
- Print loyalty Points (this has also been added to Import/export utility) – Customer table
