Within Point of Sale a new semicolon command has been created so users can search Freight Charges by Postcode/Suburb (as configured in Freight Charges Maintenance).
The ;GPC command can be used as a look up tool within POS line entry and can also be used to apply the charge within the freight field upon completion of the sale. Upon entering ;GPC a screen will prompt the operator to enter in the Postcode or Suburb they are searching for.
Once a postcode/suburb search is performed the results will be displayed in an index form if more than one is found.
When the user selects a specific postcode/suburb the system will check if it is associated with a Freight Area Charge. If it is, the Freight Lookup screen will be displayed with the relevant Freight Area highlighted.
Otherwise the user will see an Information Message that No freight area charge exists for Postcode / Suburb.
There is also the ability to directly key in the postcode/suburb after the semicolon command as a shortcut function. For example ;GPC2750 or ;GPCPENRITH
