We recently added a configuration to increase the Full Product Description maximum character length anywhere from 30 to 256 characters. This is an enormous help to staff when conducting a search and trying to distinguish between different Products that have similar descriptions. Having the length increased will abolish the need for staff having to abbreviate words to try and accommodate to a maximum of 30 characters.
This feature was also extended to printing on Tax Invoices (if configured). This will assist the Customer by making it clear as to what they have purchased and eliminates the need to decipher abbreviated Product Descriptions.
If you do wish to increase your sites configured Full Product Descriptions character length please email training@acr.com.au with the amount of characters you would like to increase to.
Training Tips:
- Utilise the Export/Import utility if you have a large number of Product Descriptions to update (ensuring you select Product Full Description).
- A character count is shown when modifying a Description, this helps staff to manage their description lengths(when the counter turns red it shows you have gone over the configured character length).
