To support the configuration change, within Carrier Maintenance a new field called ‘Despatch Measurements’ has been created. The field has two options:
- ‘By Consignment’- weight / measurements are entered as a total value.
- ‘By Individual Carton’ – Despatch Measurements to be entered by Individual Carton.
When a new Carrier is created the Default Despatch Measurements setting for this field will be applied.
The system will look at the Carrier ‘Despatch Measurements’ field when determining if the ‘Despatch Item’ entry screen should appear.
When using an RF Unit, upon Invoicing, if the Carrier selected has ‘By Individual Carton’ configured, users will not be able to Auto Find or Manually Find the invoice.
The Confirmation system now supports this new Field and will invoke the ‘Despatch Item’ entry screen when set to ‘By Individual Carton’ and/or the ‘Calc Volume’ field is true.
The Summary on the Despatch Screen will show the combined Weight in the Weight field and the Cubic Volume in the Width field- as below:
