A new report called ‘Comparative Financial Statements’ has been created within Financials > Reports. This report may be used to compare two distinct and different time periods. E.g. Jan – Mar, 2021 compared to Jan – Mar, 2020. OR Jul – Jun 2021 vs Jul – Jun 2020.
The Report will display similarly to the current Financial Statements Report, and includes results for the date of comparing the year as well.
Note: Similarly to the Financial Statements Report, the P & L Appropriation check box and Balance Sheet check box will only be modifiable if From Period is “JULY”
For all three reports they will follow the rules below:
- Where both periods have a value, but the GL description is different, we will take the description from the more recent period.
- Where the old period has a value, but the newer period does not, we will take the description from the older period.
- Where the new period has a value, but the older period does not, we will take the description from the newer period.
