The changes outlined below will assist you in preparing your payroll system setup prior to the point that you advise ACR that you’re ready to be cutover to Phase 2 reporting:
- When processing Payroll Entry, the system will now check for any Employees terminated within the current financial year that do not have a ‘Termination Type’ set. Users will see a warning message while still using STP Phase 1. Upon the change over the STP Phase 2, Users will not be able to continue Payroll processing until this field has been set.
Example while still using Phase 1, selecting the Ok button will allow the user to continue into Payroll Entry.
After you advise ACR to switch your system over to the new Phase 2 reporting, the user will no longer have the option to select OK, the only option will be to select Abort, the User will then need to update the Termination Type within Employee Maintenance before processing the pay run.
- When Users are processing a Termination entry, a new screen will appear requesting them to enter the ‘Termination Type’. The selection made will then be used to update the ‘Termination Type’ field within the Employee Maintenance Entitlement record.
- When Users process a Payroll Entry, the new Salary Sacrifice fields within Pay Allocation Maintenance will be used to update the fields ‘Salary Sacrifice Super’ and ‘Salary Sacrifice Other’ in Employee Maintenance Entitlement records.
