Pricing Module Maintenance > Product Range

Within Pricing Module Maintenance a new Product Qualification has been created called ‘Product Range’. In regards to order of precedence, it is just below ‘Product ID’. This is a great new feature as it will allow sites to set multiple products from across all Product groups/ Suppliers/ Divisions on the one Pricing Module.

Basis of Quantity

When Product Qualification is set to ‘Product Range’ a new radio group called ‘Basis of Quantity’ will become available. This has the following options of:

  • Exists in Range (Single)
  • Across the Range (Multiple)

‘Basis of Quantity’ will determine if the Pricing Module will qualify based on the quantity of a single Product line only, or based on the quantity from across multiple Product lines. Note: A Pricing Module record with a ‘Basis of Quantity’ set to ‘Across the Range (Multiple)’ can still qualify for a single Product line (based on Min Qty and the Order Quantity of that single line).

Selecting ‘Product Range’ and pressing the […] button will bring up a new screen in order to manage the range.

Please note that:

  • The Product Range ID is mandatory, and must be numeric and unique. Entering on this field will auto generate the next available ‘Product Range ID’ number
  • The Product Range Description is a mandatory field
  • The left hand side of the screen can be used to bulk add Products to the range.
  • The keyin field at the bottom of the screen can be used to manually add a Product
  • The range must have at least 1 Product included
  • A maximum of 200 Products can be included in a range

System checks are made to ensure there are no overlapping Pricing Module records with the same Customer/Product combination. In the case of a Product Qualification of ‘Product Range’, the system check includes all Products in their range. ie a Product can not exist on more than one Pricing Module – Product Range, with the same Customer Qualification, and overlapping Active dates.

N.b. Integrating this new system functionality into SalesTALK live pricing is currently in development.
