Within SMS Configuration a new option called ‘Recipient Mobile in’ has been created and will enable sites to use a different type of Email-to-SMS Service for Bulk SMS functionality. There are two ‘Recipient Mobile in’ options that can be selected:
- Username (Default)
- Subject
The Username option is the default setting and will continue to work as it always has. I.e. Recipient Mobile number is the Username.
The Subject option gives sites the ability to use a different Email-to-SMS provider. When set accordingly, an Email sent from the ACR system to the Service Provider will have the Recipient Mobile Number set in the Email subject line. The Service Provider, after receiving the email, then uses the information sent in the Email subject line and Email body to send the SMS message accordingly.
