A change has been made to the how set length products are recorded and sold within the ACR system. The Set Length Tracking Active tickbox has been replaced with a Set Length drop down that has the options:
- None – Any product that was not set to track lengths will be set to this. (Any new products created will be set to this by default).
- Recording
- Tracking – Any product that was set to track lengths will be set to this.
None
Users are able to set a product to None at any time. The configured lengths will not be deleted but they will also not be changed if any sales are made.
Products set as None can be sold with just a unit quantity or as a length/unit quantity. Only the Stock on hand level will decrease according to the amount on the sale.
Recording
Users are able to set a product to Recorded as long as the product:
- Is not set as a non diminishing item.
- Is not set as a compiled item.
- Is not an included item on a compiled item.
- Is not set as a serial Recorded/Tracked item.
Products set as Recorded can be sold as just a unit quantity or as a length/unit quantity. If the product is sold with a length that is setup in the product file then the quantity against this length will decrease as well as the total Stock on Hand. Otherwise if no length is entered or a length that is not setup, then only the Stock on hand level will decrease according to the amount on the sale.
Tracking
Users are able to set a product to Tracking as long as the product:
- Has zero Stock on Hand.
- Is not set as a non diminishing item.
- Is not set as a compiled item.
- Is not an included item on a compiled item.
- Is not set as a serial Recorded/Tracked item.
Products Set as Tracking can only be sold as a length/unit quantity that has been setup in Product File. When the product is sold then the quantity against this length will decrease as well as the total Stock on Hand.
Note; the system will only allow lengths to be entered that have been configured in the Product File.
