A new function designed to work in conjunction with ACR has been added. This new function is a Standalone “Product Price Checkpoint” function. This new function can be installed directly on a computer to launch the “Product Price Checkpoint” screen. ACR IS also required to be installed on the machine as well.
To use the Product Price Checkpoint, users can simply scan a barcode using an attached scanner. This will look up the product within your ACR system and return the Product ID code, Product Description, and the Price of the item. This information will remain displayed for 10 seconds before returning to the ‘Please Scan a Product’ screen. If another product is scanned before the 10 seconds expire the screen will update to the new products’ details. You are able to set which Price code you would like displayed on the Product Price Checkpoint. By default, this is set to Price code 1. If you would like this changed please ask the ACR training department for assistance with changing this.
Running the Product Price Checkpoint will not require an additional ACR user license. It will however count towards the number of open sessions on a computer. This means if you have the Product Price checkpoint and 3 ACR sessions open you will not be able to open any more sessions as ACR will see that your Port now has 4 sessions open.
To install the Product Price Checkpoint copy the ‘ACR Price Check’ Shortcut from your install directory (\\ACRSERVER\INSTALL) to your desktop and double click it to run. Once it is open it is able to be left open for the remainder of the day.
