System Locks

There has been a change made to system lock’s within the ACR system. This change effects both types of System Lock’s that are used in the ACR system:

Lock Type 1: The majority of ACR system locks are this type. A Lock is created when a user opens a screen or starts a function e.g. printing Debtor statements. This style of System lock is used for Exclusive Use of system checks. These Locks are removed when the user either exits the screen or completes the function that is being run. Jobmaster will now run a process that locates these system locks, and if the session that they were created for no longer is active (the session was killed or lost) will automatically remove them, This process can be manually run by pressing the “Cleanup” button in System administrator.

Lock Type 2: This style of System Lock is created when a process such as a month end reset, is started. These lock’s are removed once the process has been completed and the user has exited from the screen The Lock will now also be removed if the process is started, fails on the first step then the user exit’s from the screen.
