FOB Maintenance

A new change has been made to the ‘Buy Unit Price 1’ and ‘Buy Unit Price 2’ fields. Two new fields have been added to these fields. The fields are called ‘Per’. These fields allow for entering a Sold Unit quantity that the Buy price is for. Having these fields filled in will change how the system works out the Extension Price of an order.

  • When blank – The corresponding ‘Buy Unit Price’ field will be a price per Order Unit.
  • When filled in – The corresponding ‘Buy Unit Price’ field will be a price for the entered number of Sold Units.

eg. a product is ordered with the following setup:

  • Sold As set to Inners
  • Order As set to Outers
  • 50 Inners per Outer configured.

Scenario 1.
Per field is left blank and The ‘Buy Unit Price 1’ is set to $60. The system will use the price $60 per 1 Outer.

Scenario 2.
Per field has 60 entered in it and the ‘Buy Unit Price 1’ is set to $60. The system will use the price $60 per 60 Inners. This equates to $1 per Inner or $50 per outer ($1 per unit and 50 inner to the outer equals $50 per outer).

When printing an Order, for every line that has a ‘FOB Price per’ set, the ‘Unit’ column will show ‘/<FOB Price per>’. From our above example the line would show in the Price column $60 and in the Unit column /60. The quantity column will still show ordered quantity in Order Units.

When printing the Shipment Costing, as the quantities shown are converted into Order as Units, the Price will also convert to the Order as Unit price. With the example above, the Price shown will be $60 / 60 * 50 (Inners per Outer) = $50 per Order as Unit.
