Report Generator

A change has been made to the Function and Variable options from the drop down in Report Generator.

The ability to modify Variables and Functions once they have been created has been added. With the addition of the ability to modify a Function, this screen has been changed to make working with functions easier.

A Function name can be set in the Description box.

The Function Creation screen is now split into four sections. These are:

Field Selector
This section has not changed. This still allows the user to select the drop down they require and search for the field they need to add. Once a field is highlighted they can click the ‘ADD’ button to add a field to the Function.

Calculator
This section allows for the adding of numbers or mathematical operators to a Function. The numbers 0 through 9 as well as a decimal point, plus, minus, multiply, divide, and brackets (both open and close) are available to be added to a Function.

Formula Display box
This section will display the Function you are building as a mathematical formula. When you select a Component of your function in Formula Components, it will highlight that Component in the Formula being displayed to make identifying it easier.

Formula Components
This section will display each Component of a Formula. Each Component displays listed first through last, top to bottom. A number of buttons are available:

  • Move Up – This will move the selected Component one space higher in the list.
  • Move Down – This will move the selected Component one space lower in the list.
  • Remove – This will remove the selected Component.
  • Clear All – This will clear all Components from the Formula.
  • Validate – This will make sure the Formula is correct and will work. If the Formula does not validate a message will display and the Component that the validation failed on will be highlighted. Validation will automatically occur when OK is pressed.

Ok
Selecting this will save the changes made to the Function before closing the screen. Validation will automatically occur when OK is pressed.

Cancel
Selecting this will discard any changes made before closing the screen.
