Backups are an important safeguard for your company’s data in the event of disaster or data corruption. As such it is vital that:

• There is at least one copy of your backup data kept off the premises at all times. (Usually the previous backup)

• The backup media is regularly rotated, either nightly or weekly.

• Irrespective of whether you rotate nightly or weekly, ACR strongly advise that you you put in place procedures to ensure it happens each time.

• When using a tape drive it is recommended to only use a cleaning tape when the device requires cleaning.

• If there are any error lights or backup warning message please contact ACR Tech Support so we can investigate the problem.

ACR Tech team recommend that even if you are using USB  or Cloud backups that you swap the backup media nightly and that the previous night’s copy is kept off site. This is to ensure that we are able to recover your data quicker.
