Product Maintenance > Flagging as Inactive

A change has been made in Product Maintenance to make it easier when setting a Product Inactive in the case where it is on one or more active specials. Previously, when making a Product Inactive, which was on an active special, the system would advise you accordingly and you would need to locate any active special containing the product and either:

  1. Make the special inactive (if was incorrectly active); or
  2. Remove the product if possible; or
  3. Mark the product as DNU.

With the introduction of this change to Product Maintenance, in this scenario, the system will advise the operator:

If the operator response ‘Yes’, then the system will go to each of the active specials and ensure the product is flagged as DNU.
