Business Unit Configuration – Damaged Stock Credit Expense GL

For sites that separate the cost of Damaged Stock Credits across Business Units, a new configuration has been added to facilitate this during the end of day process ‘Invoice Sales Journal’.

The new configuration ‘Damaged Stock Credit Expense GL’ is found within the ‘Business Unit Configuration’ and provides the mechanism for setting the relevant general ledger account to be used for each business unit.

The ‘Invoice Sales Journal’ process has been modified such that for any ‘Damaged Stock Credits’ that is processed, if the Customer belongs to a Business Unit that has a ‘Damaged Stock Credit Expense GL’, then addtional Journal entries will be created to:

  • Debit the Business Unit’s configured ‘Damaged Stock Credit Expense’
  • Credit ‘Stock Adjustments’ or ‘Stock Clearing Account’ (Depending on the Accounting Method your system uses)
