With each New year comes the time to clean out the old and make room for new! Whether that means making Products Inactive, changing Suppliers or updating your Policies and Procedures, one thing that is just as important is updating staff within the system through User Maintenance.
Within User Maintenance, System Administrators can manage a number of functions including User Groups and User Passwords.
Managing User Groups is important; they can be affected by changes in Staff roles, increased tasks within the system needing Temporary Access, which is often due to other Staff on leave. This is also a good time to not only revise the User Groups staff are a part of but also the List of User Groups created within User Group Maintenance.
Whilst managing the User’s record, this is a good time to review passwords and decide whether it’s time for a change. It’s surprising at times just how long has it’s’ actually been since the users’ last change. By ticking ‘Force New Pass at Next Login’ this will ensure the User must create a new password next time at Log in.
