How to Prepare for the New Australia Post eParcel System

  1. Create a new Despatch Con Note Sequence
  • Digits set to 7
  • Start set to 1
  • End set to 9999999
  • Value set to 2000000

2. Create a new Despatch ATL Sequence     

  • Digits = 9
  • Start = 1
  • End = 999999999
  • Value = 0

3. Create a new Despatch Web API record

  • Enter the Description for this record
  • In API Type select ‘Australia Post’ from the drop down box
  • Enter Sender Company/Address details as applicable
  • Enter Account Number as provider by the carrier
  • Enter Set API Key as provider by the carrier
  • Enter Password as provider by the carrier

4. Create new Despatch Carton Dimensions for each standard carton size used

  • Enter ID
  • Enter Description
  • Enter Width in millimetres
  • Enter Length in millimetres
  • Enter Height In millimetres

5. Create a new Carrier in Carrier Maintenance

  • Carton Labels – Output set to ‘Immediate’
  • Carton Labels – Form set to ‘APO – TTP / Zebra’
  • Carton Labels – Service set as required (Parcel Post or Express Post)
  • Carton Labels – Template set to ‘DEFAULT’
  • Carton Labels – Template Prefix as blank
  • Carton Labels – Template Suffix as blank
  • Consignment Notes – Output set to ‘None’
  • Consignment Notes – Template set to the record created in ‘Despatch Con Note Sequence’
  • Consignment Notes – Template Prefix set to the ‘MLID’ (Merchant Location ID) provided by Australia Post
  • Consignment Notes – Template Suffix as blank
  • Authority To Leave – Template set to the record created in ‘Despatch ALT Sequence’
  • Authority To Leave – Template Prefix as blank
  • Authority To Leave Suffix as blank
  • Manifest – Output set to ‘External’
  • Manifest – Web API set to the record created in ‘Despatch Web API’
  • Output – Electronic set to blank
  • Cal Volume set on to use ‘Despatch Carton Dimensions’
  • Despatch Measurements set to ‘By Individual Carton’
