Cash Receipts Entry > Pre-Allocations

Within the Cash Receipts Entry screen users will now be able to create Pre-Allocations using the F5 key functionality. To do this, users will need to select the ‘Payer Type’ of ‘Debtor’ or ‘STD’ and press F5 while in the top line ‘Amount’ field. This will open a new window allowing the user to select records to create a receipt for.

 

Once records have been selected and ok pressed, the top line ‘Amount’ and ‘Disc Allowed’ fields will prefill and become uneditable. The bottom line will also prefill with the ‘Type’, ‘Account/Name’ and ‘Amount’ fields becoming uneditable. Users will still be able to use the Comment field.

If the User tries to remove the bottom line of an entry containing pre-allocation records, they will be given the following warning:

When ‘Accept Batch’ is pressed, Pre-allocations will be created in order to allocate the receipts created with the A/R records selected. Users will then see the corresponding Pre-allocations created within ‘Debtor Payment Allocation’ or ‘STD Payment Allocation’ screens.
