Quote System Configuration

A new menu item called Quotes Configuration has been added. This will allow users to set how long after a quote is raised it needs to be followed up on and how long after a quote is raised it expires.

Quotes Configuration

Users can use the configuration screen to set certain defaults:

  1. Default Followup Date – Users can set a default period before follow up with the Customer is required. Set if this date is from month end or from invoice date, then set the period length (Days, Weeks, Months) and number of periods.
    Note: The followup date simply a date, and will not prompt the user on that date.
  2. Default Expiry Date – Users can set a default period* before the quote expires. Set if this date is from month end or from invoice date, then set the period length (Days, Weeks, Months) and number of periods.

This screen also allows users to define which extra fields are mandatory and which are not. To choose which fields the user needs to be prompted to enter, they can choose from:

  • Type
  • Order Number
  • Reference
  • Followup Date
  • Expiry Date
  • Contact Name
  • Contact Number
  • Customer (Account)
  • Salesperson
  • Notes

Users can also choose extra fields that should be mandatory. The extras to choose from are:

  • Order Number
  • Followup Date
  • Contact Name
  • Contact Number
  • Customer (Account)
  • Notes

Note; Prompt and Mandatory fields apply to the Quote Completion screen.
