Cash Payment Entry > Pre Allocations

WIthin Cash Payment Entry screen, users will now be able to create for Pre-allocations using the F5 key functionality.  To do this, users will need to select the Payee Type of Creditor, and press F5 while in the Amount field (top).This will open a new window allowing the user to select A/P records to create a payment for. 

Once records have been selected, the Amount field (top) and Disc Rec will prefill as ‘0’ (this is the same as Disc Allowed in Cash Receipts Entry) and will be uneditable. The bottom line will also prefill Type, Account and Amount fields and be uneditable. Users will still be able to use the Comment field. Note: when needing to apply Discounts we would suggest using the Creditor Auto Payments process.

If the User tries to remove the bottom line of an entry with pre-allocation records, they will be given the following warning:

When Accept Batch is pressed, pre-allocations will be created in order to allocate the payments created with the A/P records selected within Creditor Payment Summary. Users will then see the corresponding Pre-allocations created within Creditor Payment Allocation. The pre-allocations will also be used to store the payment details to be available within the new menu item ‘Creditor Payment Summary’.
