When selling a product through Mail Order, how the system handles the sale will depend on whether the product is set as Recording or Tracking.
Recording
When a product is sold that is set as recording the system will accept one or a combination of the following:
- A unit quantity only – if this is entered the products Stock on Hand quantity will be reduced.
- A length/unit quantity that is not configured in the product file – if this is entered the products Stock on Hand quantity will be reduced. There will be no effect on the lengths.
- A length/unit that is configured in the product file – if this is entered the products stock on hand and the quantity level of the entered length will be reduced by the sale amounts.
Tracking
When a product is set as Tracking the system will only accept the product being entered as a length/unit quantity with a valid length that has been setup in the product file.
