Payroll System – Super Expected Pay Date

A new mandatory field called ‘Super expected Pay Date’ has been added to the payroll entry ‘Pay Dates’ screen to incorporate the new superannuation legislation (Please refer to the ATO for further information).

The date entered in this field will be the ‘expected’ date that the employer intends to pay the superannuation amount to their employee’s superannuation fund. Each time a payroll batch is processed, the system will automatically populate the date that was last entered in this field. The date can be manually changed but cannot be left blank.

The date entered in this field must be equal to or greater than the date in the ‘Enter Pay Date’ field. If an invalid date has been entered the system will produce the following message;
