New Despatch Configuration for Type B Label Duplication

Misc Configurations – Despatch

Two new ACR only configurations have been added to provide support for label duplication, for a specific carrier and select products.

  • Carrier – The specific carrier who you wish to provide duplicate labels for.
  • User Defined Field – this is the specific User Defined Field, that you can choose to have a value of LABDUP on certain products to identify that they are valid for label duplication when despatched.

Note: Label Duplication support only works for:

  • Confirmations System
  • Despatch System
  • Despatch Label Type B
  • Default Manifest and Default Electronic Despatch file.

If you wish to utilise duplicate Type B labels, please advise ACR of the carrier you wish to use and the User Defined Field you wish to use, so our support team can configure your system accordingly.

Confirmations and Despatch Systems

The Confirmations and Despatch systems have been modified to work with the new label duplication configuration. Now when confirming an invoice, the system will ascertain how many of the cartons should contain a duplicate label (Type B only) and print those duplicates accordingly. Please note, if the operator enters a carton count less than what the system has determined is required, an error will be raised and the operator advised.

N.b. the Despatch Label Type B label, duplicate labels will have the text ‘DUPLICATE’ in place of the barcode.

When completing an Invoice, checks will be made to see how many duplicate labels are required. The Invoice Carrier must match the configured Carrier. For all Products in the Invoice that has the configured User Defined Field value of LABDUP, the Shipped Quantity will be compared to the Product’s Inner’s Per Outer quantity.

Default Manifest and Default Electronic Despatch file

For Invoices that required duplicate labels, the carton total provided to the carrier is reduced by the number of duplicates.
